How Does This Christian Web Ministry Fulfill Its Mission Statement?
These pages have grown from a simple three page website created back in 1996 to over 1000 pages. five domains and growing! I always seem to find new areas to bless our brothers and sisters in Christ.
The prayer ministry pages reach thousands per month, many of whom come to the website seeking to submit a prayer request. Others visit to learn how to become more effective in their own prayer lives. Others wish to develop a deeper intimacy in their prayer walk and find the simple articles on prayer provided to be easy to understand and practical in nature.
As time goes on, I add new articles to encourage others along their path of prayer and intercession. Prayingforprodigals.com has now been set aside for specific teaching and resources on praying for your prodigal child or loved one.
The disability resource section provide helpful leads to web sites for people living with disabilities and their loved ones as well as the general public. The newest addition is a short article I wrote giving a few pointers for those creating websites who do not want to hinder the disabled in their web design.
While I do not focus on disability issues as a main priority on this ministry site, I do live with a disability and thus felt called to provide a few leads to other believers.
The Whatever is Pure section of this site invites poets, writers and those who have a testimony to share to submit articles that would uplift and inspire others. Recently, I have begun to write a weekly devotional, that is sent out through our newsletter. I usually contribute to the monthly ""WHATEVER IS PURE" ARCHIVES" as well. I've also provided archives of past issues of the ILME Weekly Email Devotional in this section.
In 2000, Daily Christian Quote began as small email listing. In 2001, we began to archive the quotes within the web site so those who have not chosen to be part of the mailing list for this quote can have access to the rich quotes. This extensive listing of thousands of quality quotations now has its own domain at Dailychristianquote.com and each quote is categorized by Author, Subject and Date.
The I Lift My Eyes Christian Links Directory section provides over 1400 organized links. The majority have been hand picked based on quality of the information or support they provide. I have begun to invite webmasters to submit their sites as links nominations. If you are a pastor, parent, youth, teen, child or single, you will find resources here to help you in your every day life, bible study, sermon writing, evangelism, apologetics and your creative expressions of faith. There is a large section for those in the creative arts as well as worship leaders and musicians. Many of these links lead to support, internet fellowship and encouragement. Christian counselors and agencies are also listed as well as groups that target specific people groups, such as Native North Americans.
By looking at visitor feedback and statistics, the Bible Verse Section has been expanded and now has a simple to remember domain address of its own, still under the umbrella of this ministry. Encouragingbiblequotes.com has been a great success and a help to those who are looking for bible quotes on particular subjects. Many of the subjects connect with quotes from the Daily Christian Quote section.
Anther recent project is the Bible Reading Plan section, which provides several different daily reading schedules, allowing readers to study the bible, cover to cover, in an organized fashion.
One of the most popular sections of the web ministry is Blessings of Christmas (blessingsofchristmas.com). You will find inspirational. Christian writings all focusing on Jesus Christ. Each year we see thousands of visitors on a daily basis to this area from November to January.
You may wonder why a disabled individual's ministry would have such an emphasis on Praise Dance and Worship. Simply put, I have the heart of a worshipper and am well aware of the power of the dance within worship. As an intercessor, I have personally witnessed God's breakthrough in the lives of those I pray for as they worship before the Lord. Worship focuses our eyes on God and off the impossibility of our situations allowing the Lord to break through in powerful ways.
Who Is Behind the Ministry?

Hello, I'm Katherine. As you surf through the pages of this site, hopefully you will gain insight into myself, the founder of I Lift My Eyes Web Ministries. I am a Christian, and my life is found in Christ, so His name is sprinkled through out all these pages. I was born with a neuromuscular disorder, but this has not really hindered me in living an active, productive life. I worked with Youth With A Mission for 13 years and finally settled in Alberta, Canada. At present, I live on a disability pension, as my disability has progressed to the place I can no longer work in the regular workforce. I had to make the decision between working and having no life outside of work whatsoever, and not working, but being dependent on a small pension. I decided, upon the advice of my doctors, pastors and family to hang up the traditional work hat.

Someone once said, "You can take the minister out of the pulpit but you can't take the ministry out of the minister." When I discovered the internet in 1994, I had no idea how the Lord would begin to challenge me to continue ministering around the world without taking a step from my apartment.
I have been an active member of Harvest Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Alberta, Canada since 1993. I have served the local body through facilitating weekly small group fellowship meetings in a leadership role in the past. At present, I have a heart for worship, prayer and intercession, supporting the church in this role to the best of my ability through out the year.
