Fingerprints of God: Recognizing God's Touch in Your Life
By Jennifer Rothschild
You know how meaningful a touch can be--soothing, encouraging, warm. But can the invisible God warm you with His unseen hand? Can His touch affirm you and guide you? Can His embrace comfort you and restore your sense of value? In her poignant, winsome way, Jennifer Rothschild reveals that God's touch is not skin on skin, but it's just as real. No human touch can be so intimate, so true. And your very life is covered with His fingerprints

Whatever is Pure - March 2006
"I don't Know. Isn't That Wonderful?"
"[Christians], at their best, know that often they don't know. They do not have all the answers. They do not have God in their pocket. We cannot answer every question that any bright boy in the back row might ask. We have only light enough to walk by."
Howard A. Johnson
I don't think I'm at 'my best' but I do find it a great relief to realize that I don't have to know everything. I can't find a scripture anywhere that demands that I learn all the knowledge that God possesses; I am only commanded to allow God to possess me.
Perhaps it's a side effect of getting older but in the past few months I have come to the delightful conclusion that it's absolutely freeing and giddily exhilarating to admit that I don't have all the answers. It's not that I don't want to know the answers or to be more knowledgeable about the workings of the Kingdom. If anything, my earnest longing to know God's heart is stronger than any other time in my life. However, the Lord has seen fit to bring me to the place of surrendering my pride into his hands. I've no doubt I'll be surrendering my pride again and again. He is wooing me to learn more about Him and his ways so I can enter into deeper intimacy with him and perhaps bring a few people along with me into that place. In that place of intimacy, all the important questions of life are answered... at the foot of the cross.
The older I get, the less interested I am in becoming the "Spiritual Jeopardy Champion" of the world. I'll leave those with dizzying intellects, ready tongues and quick wit press the buzzers to answer all the questions. I'll readily applaud them and genuinely gasp inwardly in amazement when they are able to come forth with a ready answer in the right season. I'll freely draw upon their wisdom as the Lord directs me, content to know that admitting to others that I don't know but I'd love to know is truly a wonderful place to begin. After all, aren't humble beginnings the best beginnings in the kingdom of God? God certainly seems to think so, he sent his son to be born in a humble shack and raised by working class parents in the backwoods of Israel.

God's Comforting Words
Late at night while I'm sleeping
I can hear God's voice while he is speaking.
I can hear his words of comfort and joy,
Words of love that I may rejoice:
My child you know I'll walk with you
And hold your hand through painful trails.
I will never leave your side,
I'll wipe away all tears from your eyes.
And my child when that day has came
You'll have a new body and a new name.
You'll only know a smile then
In my glorious, peaceful, place to den:
I have a mansion built just for you,
And it has many, many rooms.
When it feels like your alone
Don't worry my child you're coming home.
You'll be at peace forever more
When I say 'Well done,' and open the doors.
You'll be at home when I close the gates
Just remember my child, I cant wait.

A Tender Winter's Caress
God is so big He can cover the whole world with his Love and so small He can curl up inside your heart.
June masters Bacher
(As Quoted in Daily Christian Quotes )
On a cool November evening, a group of young students in Youth With A Mission gathered for an impromptu bonfire in a protected gully of their bible camp. A clear night at first, the stars shone bright overhead and a full moon e illuminated our path, the flashlights we carried were not needed. Most of us were from the northern Hemisphere and most of us were well acquainted with numb fingertips and reddened noses. Those who had gone ahead already had the fire blazing by the time the rest of the troupe arrived and we gathered around the circle, laughing, sharing hot chocolate and sharing our hearts one with another.
I was so caught up in the warm fellowship and being mesmerized by the flickering flames and crackling embers, that I was startled by a drizzle of a water drop as it dripped from my hair onto my cheek. Gazing up, I saw huge, perfect fluffy snowflakes drift down from the sky, too numerous even to count. Lost in the beauty, I stepped back from the flames and continued to gaze upward.
The longer I stared, the deeper my wonder. An optical illusion caused by the shadow of the flakes falling into the light of the bonfire made it seem as if I was flying upward into the sky, shooting high among the stars. It seemed an eternity, it seemed a second, it was a timeless moment. My . He blanketed the earth with his snowy glory yet each snowflake that caressed my upturned face was a personal caress.
He covered the whole world with His love, yet he curled up within my heart with the soft cool caress of a snowflake. May you be aware of his loving moments.
